priorities

ggrr i am sick of drama mama. i just need to chill and be the laid-back fun-loving jenn that i once was. thanks to my good friends in so cal, i was able to do just that this past weekend

knott's berry farm was a blast to the past. it brought back memories of being a kid.. being on hyperdrive 24/7 until i crash at night, getting scared and nervous about riding roller coasters. and as we were plunging down the xcelerator (or whatever it's called) i realized, i'm too old for this.
but spending the day with mr. third trimester (and getting bbq and coffee) was fun and a half :)

and saturday was a day full of (good) surprises. kris, jane, and i bummed in several l.a. coffee shops, drinking black tea, ordering dessert, and chatting and smoking up a storm. i guess we were planning on shopping at melrose, but we were sitting on our butts more than we were shopping. oh well, i will go shopping there some other time. among the coffee shops were highland grounds, urth, and insomnia.
i also got to eat pink's chili dog, and got a phone call from the one and only big sis! aahh i love talking to that girl- we always share good advice and encouragements.. things we want and need to hear. i can't wait to see you when i come up this week!!
audris joined us to go clubbing at bang. the music selection totally rocked. indie rock and brit pop - waayy different from the hip hopping parties that i am so used to. but even tho i was so obviously out of place, i had a blast~ the place reminded me of the club that my co-workers and i went to last summer.. where i got kicked out after 20 min. yeah. that was no fun.
by the time we left, 1:30am, audris and i were totally passing out from fatigue, but we decided to go to jerry's famous deli and grub. aahh matzo ball soup is so comforting late at night..

yeah, so that was the fun part of the weekend. there were lotsa not-so-fun parts, but i guess that's not really what xanga is for. let's just say, i realized i cannot make others happy by the things i do - i can only make myself happy. and even though that sounds a bit selfish, we are selfish beings, so sue me.
